As the Child Advocate for my own parish, I am responsible for making sure that every volunteer and employee has training in recognizing the signs of child abuse. It is such a difficult situation for all involved. In this article, Heidi has provided some concrete ways to deal with the unfortunate tragedy of child abuse.
