Children's Book for Families Who Have Experienced Baby Loss

I'm blessed to have the opportunity to help authors bring their books to fruition through editing, book design, and navigating the Amazon publishing system. This new book was a true honor to work on. It is on a painful topic, but it is a book that is so needed in our world.

Jane Seaver, the author of Our Baby is a Saint in Heaven, wishes no one would ever need to read her new book. Unfortunately, the sad reality is that sometimes babies are lost through miscarriage, stillbirth, or shortly after birth. In that time of grieving, it can be hard to know what to say to comfort an older sibling who was looking forward to the birth of a new baby. That is where this picture book comes in.

It is told from the perspective of an older sibling who is mourning a baby lost in utero. It acknowledges the pain and sadness while offering the comfort of knowing that the baby is in heaven with Jesus and that the older sister can ask the baby to pray for her and their family. The illustrations by Jane's eight-year-old granddaughter are childlike and charming. Our Baby is a Saint in Heaven also includes a letter to parents on ways that they can help their child grieve the loss and move forward in faith.
