Angels Walking: A Novel
by Karen Kingsbury
New York: Howard Books, 2014
Angels Walking is the first book in a new series by New York Times bestselling author Karen Kingsbury in which angels work behind the scenes to help humans here on earth. This installment focuses on Tyler Ames, a baseball player who has just experienced a season-ending injury, and Sami Dawson, the girl he left behind several years before. It is a love story, but it is also a tale about the power of prayer and people finding their way when all hope seems lost.
It is interesting to contemplate if and when angels do work behind the scenes to push us in one direction or another; never violating our free will but presenting an option we might not have thought of on our own. I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series.
