Mukkove Johnson wrote her new
devotional, Easter is About Jesus,
for two reasons: First, to give children ways to think of Jesus when they see the
common sights of Easter, and second, to help parents and children spend time
with God in a meaningful way.
This small book contains fifteen
devotions centered on common symbols of Easter, such as butterflies, bunnies,
lambs, and eggs, explaining how they relate to Jesus and our spiritual life. Each
devotion features a reflection, questions, and related activities. The book
also contains a free audio download of the text.
While it certainly could be used
with other age groups, Easter is About
Jesus would be ideal for those families with children between the ages of
five and ten. It would make a fine addition to your family’s Lenten experience
and Easter preparations, keeping the focus on Jesus during that holy season.
