In Catholic circles, it can be hard to be the mother of a small family. When everyone around you has more than four children, it can be hard to be the mother of one or two. How can you complain that you are tired, or worn out, or that life is just not the bliss-filled ride that people sometimes make motherhood out to be, when the people around you obviously are juggling so much more?
This article by Simcha Fischer is so good and very honest: To the Mother with Only One Child. It's worth reading no matter how many children you have.
