David and I reached another milestone in our relationship today. He told me that he wished I wasn't his mother. I told him that was Ok - there were many times when I was little I wished that his memere wasn't my mother either but now I am glad that she was.
Parenting was never meant to be a popularity contest. If your children like you all the time you are probably not doing a very good job. My offense today - I had made him clean his room!
